This one’s a Canada Day wedding, but it was such an elegant affair and so much more than what I’m used to on our July 1st holiday. The newlyweds, Monique and Prince, flew into Toronto, their hometown, all the way from Alberta to celebrate with their friends and family. It was more than just your typical long weekend and I enjoyed spending it with these two lovely people.
Fun fact! I’m a huge Beyonce fan. As soon as Beyonce’s single off her sixth album, Lemonade. I was instantly inspired. I thought about what a Formation wedding would look like. Then I collaborated with some of the most amazing wedding artists in Toronto to create this shoot. I’m even more excited to see it featured on Wedding Chicks today!
I really like this couple! Unfortunately, I wasn’t available for their wedding day, but they decided that they really wanted to work with me so we shot some beautiful wedding portraits a few months after their wedding. We had some of the most perfect sunrise light for this and the staff at Rattlesnake Point Golf Course were so accommodating for this sweet couple. Carlon and Nicole have such a beautiful love.
I’m so excited to share engagement photos with Darlene and Charles in Ottawa. I shot their photos back in April when spring was just about to start. It’s amazing how time has flown by. We met up at the National Gallery of Canada and did some exploring around the place. We created some images that really capture their fun-loving nature.
I just want to pause the regularly scheduled blog posts to let you lovely people know that I’m 31 today! I’m so happy to be celebrating my birthday amidst this hectic wedding season of mine. I decided to extend the weekend a bit to celebrate in Montreal. Life is just too good not to celebrate this special day.
