I’m 31! My Birthday in Montreal.

I just want to pause the regularly scheduled blog posts to let you lovely people know that I’m 31 today! I’m so happy to be celebrating my birthday amidst this hectic wedding season of mine. I decided to extend the weekend a bit to celebrate in Montreal. Life is just too good not to celebrate this special day. Between working, traveling, and catching up on gym time, I’m just taking a pause to celebrate and thank God for another great year. There’s so much heart ache and pain in the world right now. I don’t want to take life or the special people in my life for granted. I have been capturing some of the most gorgeous weddings and I can’t wait to share some of them right here on the blog real soon! I just didn’t want to pass on the opportunity to capture my own memories while in Montreal. As of right now, I’m enjoying some birthday relaxation before I hit the ground running with my to-do list tomorrow. By the way, if you follow me on SnapChat (@samclarkephoto) then you already know what I was up to, but here are a few amazing things to do and spots to eat, while in Montreal!

I stayed at Ruby Foo’s Boutique hotel, which was super cute and inspiring. We had some of the most delicious Pakistani food at Sana Restaurant. The server was really cool and we ate the most amazing naan ever, called aloo naan, with potatoes inside! For dessert, we visited Paris Crepes on the St. Catherine’s strip. I got the crepe with ice cream and strawberry, but next time I’m there, I’m going to have to try it with Nutella! The next day, I went for a long walk along Montreal’s Old Port, I was amazed because people in Montreal were all working out and running. Such a healthy bunch of people! But then I got caught in some crazy rain and had to run back to the car real quick! I got these giant balloons from Party Mania, which were a lot harder to pose with than I thought! And had an amazing poutine at the Gibeau Orange Julep. Really good times! And special thanks to my sweet hus Andre for capturing these fun shots in Old Montreal. He’s just too awesome at this photo taking thing!
