Fun fact! I’m a huge Beyonce fan. As soon as Beyonce’s single off her sixth album, Lemonade. I was instantly inspired. I thought about what a Formation wedding would look like. Then I collaborated with some of the most amazing wedding artists in Toronto to create this shoot. I’m even more excited to see it featured on Wedding Chicks today! This editorial was inspired by Beyonce’s creative genius in Formation (the piece where she is in an old vintage setting in all white also the piece with her daughter Blue Ivy and her friends). The shoot is meant to showcase the power of women. We used white and gold to have a simple, but glamorous feel allowing the focus to be on the Bride and her Flower-girls. Shooting at Alton Mill was a dream. The venue fit our vision and really represents the strength and endurance of females over the last 100 years. The incorporation of two looks for the Bride and Flower girls allowed us to convey beauty, uniqueness and luxurious looks for all the ladies. Together the creative team created a monumental styled shoot that was outside of all traditional elements. Check out all of the members of the creative team and the video at the end of the post.
