This past Mother’s day weekend helped me reflect on the amazing women I know. Being a mother is not an easy task, but this lovely lady is a proud one that’s ALL about her girls.
Sarah’s 2 year old and her 7-week old are her pride and joy. Her devotion is inspirational and it was so amazing to see them in Toronto this week!
Something about a new baby is so astonishing to me. Could be their tiny little feet and hands or the enormous potential their lives have– I haven’t quite figured it out yet. I visited Xavier with the intention of capturing these fleeting moments, before they disappear. Each photo was taken in his room at their home last Sunday. It was a casual morning and his mom and I finally had the chance to catch up after several years. We go way back.. all the way back to high school! It was so lovely to see an old friend as her family grows. Baby Xavier is an amazing gift. At just two weeks old he has an incredibly thoughtful gaze… It’s no surprise that his nickname is “Professor X”! Congratulations again to his mom and dad! You’ve got a beautiful baby boy!

I traveled to Windsor last week to shoot with this gorgeous family. Last time I saw them they were two expectant parents, waiting on their baby girl. Now, Khadijah is 11 months old! She’s too sweet and is a huge Beyonce fan! We sang “Who Runs the World” to get her attention. It was adorable!

I met Assana and Darren recently. They are an extremely warm couple with dazzling personalities. With little Nya’s help, we turned our Sunday afternoon into one filled with uncontrollable laughter, while fending off the occasional bumble-bee. I consider myself to be one lucky lady having these two as my wedding clients! I can’t wait for their big day!
